About Us
Audio Ammo's organic beginning
started when Christian Hutton and Ken Halford, two musicians from North Texas,
became acquainted after playing together on various recordings, ranging in genre
from traditional country to modern jazz.
Conversations ensued which led to discussions regarding favorite styles and experience. Similarities and passions for music were quite similar overall but different enough to create a realization that this could truly be a situation where the total outweighed the sum of the parts. The similarity, in a nutshell was that all music was valid, and unlike their counterparts who pursued and validated one style over another, these guys wanted it all! Even if only in thirty to sixty second pieces! Halford and Hutton also shared a commonality in a love for production music that went all the way back to childhood. Halford says, "My first ten records were all soundtracks. I got more out of the music than the movie; I just listened to the movie themes over and over. Everything from Rogers and Hammerstein to Bernard Hermann." Christian echoes Ken's sentimentality for movie masterpieces. According to Christian, "My earliest love of music came from John Williams, but I confess my earliest fascination should be credited to Scott Bradley, who is of course best known for his work with Tom and Jerry." The two agreed that there was only one place where they could be musically fulfilled in every style, and with the attention to detail that their production minds demanded. CUSTOM JINGLES AND PRODUCTION MUSIC With over fifteen years behind him as the producer of hit radio shows like American Country Countdown and Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40, Ken Halford has his finger on the pulse of what makes good radio. Combining talents with Christian Hutton was a natural. Ken refers to Christian as one of the most creative individuals he has ever come across. Writing and producing all of the material in Halford's state of the art studio is a dream come true for both of these composers. But the thing that fuels the muse in these guys, is stepping into your shoes attaching themselves to your vision. That is where the rubber meets the road. Your vision, your product, your business, matched with Audio Ammo's experience and talent.
